SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Police of U.S. Northern California city of San Jose reported that two people were killed and multiple others wounded in a stabbing at a church on Sunday night.

The incident took place at the Grace Baptist Church, leaving some of the stabbing victims with "life threatening injuries," the police department tweeted later on Sunday.

"No church services were being conducted at the time of the stabbing," it said, adding "unhoused individuals were brought into the church to get them out of the cold."

So far there has been no confirmation of any arrest, it said.
