TARLAC CITY, Oct. 19 (PIA) -- Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac is set to roll out its remodeled Diskwento Caravan on Wheels on October 22 and 29 in the towns of Anao and Mayantoc, respectively.
Diskwento Caravan is annual trade activity in partnership with manufacturers and distributors of basic necessities and prime commodities where consumers can avail products at discounted prices.
"Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the program was modified to ensure the safety and convenience of our consumers. The set up for this year's Diskwento Caravan involves the pre-order and delivery of goods to the residents of the scheduled town or city," DTI Provincial Director Agnes Ramirez said.
Interested consumers may coordinate with their respective barangay officials for the price list of goods and their orders.
Ramirez furthered that the Diskwento Caravan on Wheels in Tarlac was piloted in San Jose town wherein the pre-ordered goods were delivered at the San Jose Public Market for pick-up.
"We would like to express our gratitude to the manufacturers, distributors and the local government units for their efforts to help us bring the basic necessities and prime commodities to the consumers the easiest possible way especially at this time of pandemic," Ramirez added. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
